Expert Pest Control Insulation in Denver, CO

Pest control insulation is a blown-in insulation product treated with a borate-based pest deterrent. It goes into attics and wall voids, where it insulates your home and discourages common insects from nesting in those spaces. Denver homes face wide temperature swings between cold winters and hot summers. That stress pushes rodents and insects to look for shelter inside walls and attics, where they can damage existing insulation and reduce its ability to regulate heat. When insulation is compromised, your heating and cooling systems work harder and your energy bills climb. Pest control insulation addresses both problems at once. It fills gaps that let outside air in, reduces heat transfer, and makes attic and wall spaces far less hospitable to insects. At Next Level Home Services, we treat every home as if it were our own. That means honest recommendations about whether your current insulation needs to be removed and replaced or whether pest control insulation can be added on top. We serve homeowners across Denver, Cherry Hills, Littleton, Centennial, Parker, Castle Rock, Castle Pines, Englewood, Boulder, Longmont, and Louisville.

Pest Control Insulation FAQ

Common questions about pest control insulation in Denver, CO.

Yes, pest control insulation is considered safe for people and pets when properly installed, as the borate-based deterrent stays contained within the insulation material. It does not require ongoing chemical sprays or treatments inside your living spaces.

In many cases, pest control insulation can be blown in on top of existing insulation if the current material is in good condition and free of contamination. If your existing insulation has been damaged or soiled by pests, removal and replacement is the right first step.

It is most effective against common insects such as ants, cockroaches, silverfish, and wasps that nest or travel through attic and wall spaces. Rodents like mice and rats are less attracted to treated insulation as nesting material, though sealing entry points remains important for full rodent protection.

If you have seen signs of insect activity in your attic or walls, pest control insulation is worth considering because it addresses both the insulation gap and the pest deterrence need at the same time. A home inspection will show whether your current insulation is intact or has already been damaged.

Yes, pest control insulation improves your home's thermal performance by reducing heat transfer and sealing air gaps, which takes pressure off your heating and cooling systems. Homes in Castle Rock that experience significant seasonal temperature changes often see noticeable comfort improvements after installation.

If your existing insulation is contaminated, compressed, or damaged by pests, we recommend removing it before installing fresh pest control insulation. If the current material is still in good shape, we can add pest control insulation on top to boost both thermal performance and pest deterrence.

Level Up Insulation was contracted by my pest control service, Saela, to mitigate a mice & rat infestation in my home's crawl space. Two technicians, Afren and Alberto, removed all the contaminated wall insulation and the ground moisture/radon barrier in the crawl space. They sanitized the crawl space, then installed new wall insulation and radon barrier over the ground. They bagged all the contaminated materials and disposed of it all without leaving a trace behind (they protected the basement living area and 1st floor hallways with plastic sheeting). Afren and Alberto were friendly and professional, and super hard-working. That job would've taken me a week, and they banged it out in half a day. The finished job looks amazing... clean, bright and fully sealed. I highly recommend Level Up Insulation, as well as Saela Pest Control.

Level Up did a good job. Protected the floors through the house and furniture in the access points. Crew was friendly. The job progressed at a good pace. My house already seems less dusty and the air just a bit crisper. The owner/manager was easy to work with and responsive.

We had Level Up install blown in insulation in our Denver attic after our energy audit showed we were way under the recommended R-value. The team was in and out in half a day, and the difference was immediate. Our second floor used to be ten degrees warmer than the main level in summer — now it's even throughout. Great experience with the blown in insulation in our Denver attic.
